| Tax hike for investors with French property |

| UK investors with property in France face a 1% tax on rental income to fund the government’s new policies to help the unemployed.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy intends to raise 1.4 billion Euros from investment taxes to underwrite a programme to help the low paid and unemployed.
This new levy is in addition to existing investment taxes.
